Steve Harper (Northern CA)
Steve Harper taught at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco from 1979 to 1990. He taught Environmental Portraiture, Figure, Natural Light, Visual Concepts/Design and an always-full Night Photography course each semester. From 1990 to 1992 he taught Night Photography and Visual Concepts at the University of California, Berkeley Extension in San Francisco. He has been a source of inspriation to countless hundreds of aspiring NPs (Night Photographers). His work has been shown internationally.

From 1959 to 1969, prior to taking his place behind the camera, Harper was in front of movie and still cameras, when he was a member of the Ford Men's Agency in New York City. In addition to the brief sampling of his work seen here (and on Steve's main Gallery page) on The Nocturnes Web site, more can be viewed at Steve Harper Photography.
