In this special edition of Night News, we offer you a visual "recap" of our recent trek to Ireland, as well as some timely announcements of classes, workshops, and the like. So, lets get to it, shall we?

Cead Mile Failte
- Irish for a "hundred thousand welcomes"

The long-awaited return of The Nocturnes to photograph (both nocturnally and diurnallyl!) the beautiful, magical West of Ireland, has concluded. A splendid time was had by all - a good group. We rekindled old friendships, and made new ones, as well. We had lots of surpises - 75-85 degree weather, twilight at midnite, a waterspout sighting, and near drought conidtions throughout Ireland! As with our previous treks to Eire, The Light of Ireland, was offered thru Strabo Tours for 11 days - July 15-25, 2013.

If you didn't make it this time - don't worry: we have scheduled a Fall trek for 2014 (October 1-11) - so if you're interested (or know of someone who is) feel free to contact us directly at 707-645-9860, or via email: basket[at]thenocturnes[dot]com - OR - thru the Strabo site!

Post at Westport
While in Ireland, we had planned to post to The Nocturnes NPy Blog, recently commandeered to serve as "The Nocturnes in Ireland - 2013" Blog, de facto. However, and as could be expected, we were haveing such a GREAT time of it - that did not happen - tho' plenty of Instagram (and follow-thru Flickr postings and Tweets) uploads did occur. These Instagrams were spontaneously posted to our Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/tim.baskerville as well.

But wait! - there's more: we will be resume Blogging, now that we're stateside - with Night Photography (NPy) and commentary
from the trip, starting the next few days.

In the meantime, there's always "My friend, Flickr" - http://www.flickr.com/groups/2013ireland - featuring work done on the Tour!

We will keep those interested in this and future Tours updates, sending out periodic missives about the trip, along with travel hints, inspiring images, musical treats, readings, and reflections on the West of Ireland. These occasional communiqués will appear in your INBOX as Links to The Nocturnes NPy Blog

Hope you enjoy this virtual tour of the West of Ireland! Maybe see you soon . . . ?
